Welcome to the Child Advocacy Center
The children who visit the Child Advocacy Center have allegedly endured a lot in their young lives - physical and sexual abuse; exploitation through the Internet and child pornography; the horror of witnessing serious crimes. These are the allegations that bring children to our house.
Inside our door, children are greeted by delightful murals, a toy-filled reception area and professionals trained to address the unique needs of each child. Collaborating with an investigative team, we provide children two critical services - Forensic Interviews and Sexual Assault Forensic Exams. Behind the scenes in our house, a multidisciplinary team from law enforcement, Children's Division, the juvenile office and the medical field observe the interview, share information, discuss outcomes and determine a course of action to take that is in the best interest of each child.
